Starting the Game

To begin a scrabble game, without looking at any of the tiles in the scrabble bag, the players will take one tile each. The player that has the letter that is closest to the alphabet “A” will begin the game. The player that picks a blank tile will win the start of the game.

The tiles are then returned to the bag and used in the remainder of the game. Every player must start their turn by drawing seven tiles from the scrabble bag without looking inside the bag. There are 3 options during any turn. The player can place a word, they can exchange tiles for new tiles or they can choose to pass. But in most cases, players will try to place a word as the other two options will result in a no score.

When a player decides to exchange tiles, they can decide to replace one or all of the tiles they presently hold. After the tiles are exchanged, the turn is over and players will have to wait until their next turn to place another word on the board. Players can choose to pass at any time in case they have no access to Scrabble word finder or if they cannot use Scrabble cheat. They will be deprived of that turn and anticipate being able to play the next time. If any player passes two times in a row, the game will then end and the one with the highest score will be the winner. The First Word Score.

When the game starts, the first player will place their word on the star spin in the center of the board. The star is a double square and will offer a double word score. Which means any word placed by the first player will be doubled. All players following will build their words off his/her word, extending the game to other squares on the board. Play then continues in a clockwise direction around the scrabble board.
